Outdoor Activities on Isle of Skye

There is an abundance of wildlife to be found around the Lodge and on the many established tracks and pathways along the shore, through the woods and over the hills.

Walking, cycling, boat trips, castles, gardens and whisky distillery tours are just a few of the many activities available in the area.

Hill Walking
We are only 10mins away from the world famous Cuillin Hills and 15 mins drive to the Old Man of Storr. The views from the top of the local hill Ben Tianavaig are fantastic.

Golf
The Isle of Skye Golf Club (9 hole course) is located at Sconcer under 15mins away – definitely one of Scotland’s most scenic courses. There is another 9 hole course at Skeabost also witin 15mins.

Boat Trips
There are various boat trips available on the island. The very popular trip from Elgol drops visitors at the steps to Loch Coruisk in the heart of the magnificent Cuillins, with the option to take a later return trip back.

Ferry Routes
A 25 minute drive takes you to Uig where the ferry departs to the outer isles – many make a day trip.
